HOUSTON PETSET MISSION AND VISION STATEMENT: Our mission is to end the homelessness and suffering of companion animals and elevate their status in society. We envision a world where companion animals do not suffer and are valued by society.

ABOUT US: Houston PetSet is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization in Houston, Texas, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of suffering, abused, and abandoned animals as well as in the lives of Houstonians. Houston PetSet's approach is data-driven and focused on collaboration. Since Houston PetSet's founding, the organization has provided more than $3 million in funding from our annual soiree event and outreach to more than 100 animal welfare, shelter, and rescue groups. These groups work on the frontlines every day to save lives and end the suffering of unwanted animals. Houston PetSet’s six impact areas include (1) Adoption, Rescue and Transport; (2) Spay and Neuter; (3) Cruelty Prevention; (4) Community Service and Education; (5) Research and; (6) Advocacy.

Last year, Houston PetSet supported 170,000 animals – the most ever. While we celebrate a banner year at Houston PetSet, Houston and Harris County’s pet overpopulation continues to grow exponentially. We share the following information with you about the issue of stray animals in Houston, what we are doing about it and how you can join us in our quest to improve the quality of life in Houston – for its residents and the animals.
