Wildling Animal Rescue

Wildling Rescue's mission is to provide 'More Good Days' for Dogs, Cats and Equines in need. We presently rescue Equines from the Slaughter Pipeline from one of the only legitimate Kill Pens in the US. We have expanded beyond Equines and have been rescuing Dogs and Cats whether they be strays, or surrenders, but mostly we tag animals from remote high kill animal control shelters with 90%+ EU Rates throughout Texas. We are a boutique sanctuary and rescue focusing on the more 'forgotten' places or off the map areas to rescue from and have developed a personalized approach to rescue we go down to even requiring documented estate planning for our Adoptees and their families so we never lose track of our rescues. We also provide rescue and rehoming to dogs and cats needing homes across the US. We will also begin educational and Scholastic tours starting Spring 2023 to bring awareness to the Animal Welfare Crisis in the US along with the US Slaughter pipeline.
The US has shipped up to 140,000+ Equines Annually to slaughter in Mexico and Canada, where even the strictest facilities mean a brutal and traumatic end for these mostly domestic Equines. After moving to a farm in North Texas, we were faced with the brutal reality of living a short distance from an active pen that ships to Mexico weekly and holds a large monthly auction. As a former Competitive Equestrian since the age of 6, this sickened me to my core. It became my mission to utilize our farm as a sanctuary for these unwanted and abused animals as well as adopting to wonderful homes when able.

We strive to provide awareness of the brutal realities of the slaughter pipeline that ships equines up to 24 hrs without food and water, crammed in stock trailers to meet their end in crowded pens where they are scared and corralled down shoots where they are then killed with a captive bolt or another more horrific, graphic tactic. Eligible meat is then shipped overseas. The Bureau of Land Management has also been rounding up America's Wild Horses and shipping to slaughter alongside domestic horses that are either injured and/or beyond an owners ability to finance care in most cases, or many times domestic horses are secretly purchased at auction by Meat Buyers who then are paid per pound of the Equine and quality of their condition or in cases of Ponies and Miniatures, sold as live bait. Our goal is to bring awareness to the US Slaughter pipeline and bring about awareness regarding our Wild and Domestic Equines.

We also strive to bring about awareness of the realities of kill Pens, Meat buyers, Traders, Flippers and the dangers of selling equines at Auction without thoroughly vetting buyers. In the meantime, we strive to rescue and rehabilitate whatever equines we can, and provide a peaceful transition to the next life in our Wildling Hospice program that specifically pulls equines from pens to provide a peaceful, loving transition to the next life.

We believe in the power of small actions causing big waves of change, we sacrifice our bodies, minds and hearts every day to give these animals the best of whatever time is left for them. Our mission is these animals welfare and the ability and drive to give them more good days.
