Founded in 1939, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) has been a driving force in the development of Israel’s arts and culture, providing critical support to emerging and established artists across disciplines. Through a wide range of programs—including Creative Excellence Grants, the Study Abroad Program, the Instrument Loan Program, the Periphery Outreach Program, Beyond Talent, and the prestigious Aviv Competitions—AICF offers early, mid-career, and advanced-stage support that bolsters the careers of Israel’s most promising artists. To date, AICF has supported over 18,000 individual artists and more than 600 cultural institutions, helping build Israel’s cultural infrastructure and elevating its global artistic reputation. AICF alumni are represented in more than 45 internationally acclaimed ballet and modern dance companies, appear on leading operatic and symphonic stages, and contribute to award-winning films, television, and theater. Widely recognized as a standard-bearer of artistic excellence, AICF plays a vital role in strengthening Israel’s cultural identity and its connection with audiences around the world.
