How donors participate in philanthropy has shifted over time, largely impacted by the range in social values across different generations, which only intensified during the pandemic. There is also a new generation in control of wealth and more socially motivated generations aging into discretionary spending incomes. Where charitable giving used to be a simple transaction, donors today are more involved personally and even professionally through corporate social responsibility programs. The focus for all generations, including boomers and millennials, seems rooted in relationships with an eye on measurable impact. What can we learn about our donors’ preferences and values and how do we best nurture those relationships? Our panelists today have done a deep dive across the nonprofit ecosystem and are joining us to share their powerful insights on the changing landscape of donor behavior and generational giving.

About Our Panelists:

Chris Silver is the Vice President of Product Marketing at Classy and leads the Product Marketing, Partner and Channel, and Sales Enablement teams. In addition to her leadership role, Chris partners with the product, marketing and customer facing teams to develop and implement Classy’s go to market strategy and provides market leading solutions to the nonprofit community. With over 25 years in the technology marketing space, Chris specializes in embedded hardware/software, SaaS, AI, and IoT in both B to B and B to C companies. Prior to Classy, Chris led teams across the marketing landscape at Fujitsu, Gateway, and Qualcomm as well as several early stage and start-up companies. She has a MBA from University of California, Irvine and BA from Boston College.

Kelly brings more than 20 years of fundraising, nonprofit management, and sales/marketing experience to her role as VP of Marketing at OneCause. She manages all of the company’s content strategy and execution. Kelly is passionate about empowering great missions and loves that her role allows her to continue to help nonprofits reach new donors and raise more funds.

Jeff Vogel leads DonorPerfect’s Marketing and Business Development team with more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing. Jeff volunteers and supports organizations that work in the areas of food security, public health, environment, and civil rights. A one-time Best of Philly food blogger and a long-suffering Temple Basketball fan, Jeff earned an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management from Villanova School of Business, and lives in the Philadelphia area with his wife and three daughters.
