Introducing EasyDAF: A New Way to Grow DAF Grants
We are thrilled to announce the launch of EasyDAF, a groundbreaking solution designed to improve and enhance how donors give through donor-advised funds (DAFs).
DAFs have become an increasingly popular vehicle for charitable giving, offering donors significant tax advantages and the flexibility to support their favorite causes. However, DAF grants are highly underutilized by donors for numerous reasons.
Problems We Are Addressing with EasyDAF.
1. Donors often forget about their DAF. Instead, they default to making much smaller online donations via cash or credit.
By prominently showcasing an easy way to initiate a grant on your site, you can convert cash gifts to much larger DAF grants.
2. Grants are often sent to the wrong nonprofit. When you search a directory of nonprofits by name, you may have to choose from hundreds (or thousands) of orgs. It’s easy to confuse one org with another. It’s hard to “undo” a grant that was sent to the wrong nonprofit.
EasyDAF arms the donor with the EIN or Tax ID for the nonprofit they want to support, making it easy to find the correct org by searching by EIN in their DAF directory:
3. Nonprofits have very little visibility into DAF grants. They are only notified when the grant payment is received – often weeks or months after the grant is initiated. And while some DAFs provide information about the donor, most provide only the name of the giving fund, leaving the recipient to wonder who to thank for their gift.
