The mission of the CGMC is
To promote interest in choral singing through group instruction and by the advertising of, preparation for, and performance of choral concerts;
To be a source of pride within the membership and the LGBTQ+ community by striving for excellence in the performance of choral singing;
To create and cement friendly relations and foster good will and understanding between the gay community and the community at large;
To promote an atmosphere of cohesive fellowship in the LGBTQ+ community;
To promote acceptance and freedom from repression and to eliminate prejudice and discrimination by society for the entire gay and lesbian community by engaging in activities earning the respect and admiration of the community at large
