The mission of CMCArts is to inspire and promote the Caribbean's rich cultural and artistic heritage through engaging the diverse communities of the Caribbean. CMCArts is the only art museum in the Virgin Islands and is located on the island of St. Croix in Frederiksted town. We preserve and promote our cultural heritage while activating art for all through inclusive arts education that provide insights into the region's complex history, diverse traditions, and vibrant creative community. For 30 years, CMCArts has been a unifying force, bridging diverse backgrounds and bringing people together through the spirit of artistic exploration. The community's Caribbean American identities are explored and shared through the arts through interpretive, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary exhibitions, workshops, classes and educational programs for all ages. Our programs provide a welcoming, inclusive and safe space to explore our culture and inspire all generations to express their experiences. CMCArts engages over 26,000 visitors annually and offers free entry for our community and visitors alike.
