Your stock donation today fuels transformational mentoring programs for more than 10,000 girls each year in Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
This is the kind of impact you can create with your stock gift today:
$1,000 supports 10 girls through a full year of mentorship programming, on average.
$5,000 can support one entire class of up to 50 Binti Shupavu Scholars who learn study skills, personal leadership, health topics and build self-confidence each week from an educated woman mentor, with the goal of increasing graduation rates.
$22,000 can support up to 960 girls in Tanzania in 2025 and at least 100 additional girls in Zambia, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. Emergency Funds support girls' basic needs, including school fees, basic needs (food, sanitary pads, etc.), housing if a girl must be removed from her home, and more.
$30,000 can support one Binti Shupavu International Pilot partner for one full year, providing in-person training and ongoing virtual technical assistance, funding to implement the program, measurement and reporting support, and learning visit opportunities to connect with and learn from other pilot partners.
$50,000 could support our Tanzanian sister organization GLAMI to provide salaries for 9 professionally trained social workers on staff, who can support girls facing serious challenges who are at risk of dropping out of school.
$100,000 would support Daring Girls and our partners in Swahili-speaking countries to develop and air one year of weekly radio programming. With our radio partner, we anticipate reaching as many as 15 million Swahili-speaking listeners each week with programming featuring women journalists pairing key lessons from mentorship programs with inspirational stories of young women forging their own path forward, highlighting the strategies and tactics they used to navigate challenges in their lives while staying focused on their goals. This medium would enable us to dramatically scale the reach of the most important lessons from the mentorship programming we support.
$250,000 can establish a scholarship fund to help vulnerable girls across our four partner countries stay in school and continue their studies in university or at a vocational school. A gift of this size can be recognized with a naming opportunity for the scholarship.
