The mission of The Leakey Foundation is to increase scientific knowledge, education, and public understanding of human origins, evolution, behavior, and survival. We fund human origins research and share the results of this research through award-winning educational programs. Based in San Francisco, California, and formed in 1968, we are the only non-profit organization wholly committed to human origins research and education.
