OAI extends a supportive hand to foster youth aged 14 and older, as well as those who have aged out of the system, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to become independent and valuable members of society.
Our program offers comprehensive services, including mentoring, life skills training, education and career preparation, and transitional living support for those who have a foster care history ages 14 and older.
Young adults transitioning out of the foster care system face significant challenges compared to their peers, including higher risks of dropping out of high school, not completing higher education or trade school, substance addiction, unemployment, incarceration, homelessness, and early parenthood, perpetuating the cycle of foster care. Our mission is to help these young adults successfully transition from care to education or careers, breaking this cycle and fostering their potential.
