Cathedral Kitchen
Success, Hope and Abundance for people in need in Camden
Cathedral Kitchen helps people out of food insecurity and champions their pursuit of stability and prosperity. It is one of the largest emergency food providers in New Jersey, serving more than 200,000 free meals a year. Through our Meal Program we provide nutritious meals, groceries and social services to individuals, families and seniors in Camden and the surrounding communities who are experiencing food, income and housing insecurity. The Culinary Arts Training Program is a 14 week tuition-free program, offered three times a year. The program consists of classroom and hands on instruction in culinary/baking arts, plus ServSafe training, life skills, financial literacy and interviewing/resume writing skills training. Graduates are assisted with job placement and over 85 percent of graduates find employment during the first three months following graduation. In addition, we operate a catering social enterprise that employs Camden residents, provides training for our culinary students and generates income to support our programs.
