Chewelah Performing and Cultural Arts (PACA) was incorporated in August 2008, assuming its new 501c3 status - with the sole purpose of creating a quality performing arts facility. PACA is the governing board behind the Chewelah Center for the Arts, which opened its doors in 2018. Since its opening, it has been the hub of performing arts activity in Chewelah and the surrounding region - with several in-resident theatre and production companies. It also hosts the local high school and local radio station productions and serves as a meeting place for area non-profits.
