Supporting Single Pregnant Mothers with Children
We provide housing with supportive community, gospel discipleship, and farm therapy for single pregnant mothers with children.
Our clients are mothers who are caring for their children alone because of difficult or abusive situations, and who now find themselves pregnant again. Confronted with this enormous new challenge when they're already overwhelmed, many women feel the pressure to make poor decisions.
We currently serve our moms and their families through apartments paid for by BHR and the Schlackman's 4-acre farm in Krum, TX. We are currently searching for land to purchase for the permanent home of BHR where all housing and programs will be on site.
Our long-term vision is to create a safe haven where everything we do is one place, where these pregnant, mother-led families can live and have the time to heal; to see their pregnancies to term and then up to a 18-months postpartum while becoming self-sufficient, healthy members of society.
