Interfaith Works, formerly known as Community Ministry of Montgomery County, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency and a non-sectarian interfaith coalition of more the 165 affiliated congregations of diverse faiths, working together to meet the needs of the poor and homeless in Montgomery County, Maryland. Founded in 1972, our programs shelter, clothe, and feed our neighbors in need and provide supportive services with the goal of helping them achieve self-sufficiency.The programs of Interfaith Works provide not only basic needs but also a hand up to those struggling in our community. Case management and supportive services are built into our program models to make sure that we are equipping those we serve with the tools they need to achieve long-term success.
