Pratham USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which supports Pratham Education Foundation in its mission of improving child literacy, providing vocational skills and supporting women to complete their education in India; and encourages volunteerism in the US. Pratham Education Foundation is one of India's largest non-governmental education organizations. To achieve its mission of "every child in school and learning well," Pratham develops practical solutions to address gaps in the education system and works in collaboration with India's governments, communities, educators and industry to increase learning outcomes and influence education policy. In 2017-18, Pratham programs reached 8 million children (1.1 million directly and 6.9 million through government partnerships).
