Collecting and distributing free children's books to underserved kids
Hindi's Libraries promotes literacy and learning by collecting and freely distributing new and gently used children's books to children in underserved communities across the United States and internationally. We believe that access to books is transformative: a child with books of their own is a child empowered to learn, imagine, and grow. Working through a network of more than 400 vetted nonprofit partners, including family shelters, foster care agencies, pediatric clinics, food pantries, and community-based youth programs, we ensure that every child we reach receives books to keep permanently, free of charge. Founded in memory of a beloved educator who gave her life to literacy, our mission is to honor her legacy by making sure that no child goes without books simply because of where they were born or how they were raised.
