Keep Music Alive

We help more kids reap the educational, therapeutic and social benefits of playing music!

Our Keep Music Alive Mission is to help more kids (and adults) reap the educational, therapeutic and social benefits of playing music. Our major programs include Teach Music Week (March), Kids Music Day (October), musical instrument micro-grants and year-round Musical Instrument Petting Zoo events at schools, libraries and festivals (40 events in 2022, double that planned for 2023). Each year, we partner with over a 1,000 music schools, stores and organizations to offer free lessons to new students and to hold special events that benefit and celebrate kids playing music. Our goal is not for every child to become a professional musician. Our goal is to help every child have the best chance of success no matter what career path they choose later in life!
