For over 130 years, the nonprofit Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) has worked to educate and inspire New Yorkers to engage in keeping our city livable and equitable. MAS is committed to promoting New York City's economic vitality, cultural vibrancy, environmental sustainability and social diversity. As the only New York City nonprofit organization working at the nexus of advocacy, planning, preservation, and urban design, MAS occupies a unique place in the life of the city. Working across all five boroughs, MAS has a legacy of seeking new approaches to the physical and cultural fabric of our city and the processes that govern them.
