The Pet Endowment Trust (PET) is an organization that's very purpose is focused on helping pet owners make a care plan or backup plan for their pets. The PET message is "Remember Your Pets When Making A Will". The PET promotes pet owners putting their wishes into a will or trust so that family members or the estate executor knows what happens to the family pets should the unexpected happen. Pet planning directives, wills and trusts give family, veterinarians and animal shelters, directions on where a displaced pet should find a new home and loving care. We believe pet owners want their pets cared for when the unexpected happens. We partner with pet owners to give care to their pets if needed.
The PET Hero Award program allows any person, business or organization to be nominated for their efforts with animal welfare. Veterinarians and animal welfare workers face some of the highest depression and suicide rates. A PET Hero Award could be the lifetime event that encourages a person or business to a greater commitment for animals. It shines a light on those individuals and businesses that are making efforts.
