The Simmons Strong Foundation is in honor of coach and teacher Jim “Slim” Simmons.
The Simmons Strong Foundation was founded to honor the life and legacy of Jim Simmons, by providing scholarships to local high school and college student-athletes that exemplify the values Jim lived throughout his life and by giving financial assistance to community members that are experiencing hardships due to cancer treatment/diagnosis.
