The Detroit Institute for Children (dba Boldli - Exceptional Youth Services)
Founded in 1920, the Detroit Institute for Children does business as "Boldli - Exceptional Youth Services" in providing services in preK-12 schools and Head Starts that address an array of students' neurological, developmental, and behavioral needs. We also have community-based Summer, Afterschool, and PAT (Parents as Teachers) programs that are offered without cost to participants in underserved communities. Together, our programs comprise a holistic approach to serve children and families across metro Detroit through academic and therapeutic services provided year 'round. These programs support the achievement of our mission and vision today: • Mission: We empower children to overcome challenges. • Vision: Children with special needs and their families are all thriving members of the community.
