Q: How do I qualify for a Wag! grant?
A: You must be a nonprofit pet shelter, pet rescue, or pet adoption center, and you must be:
- Rated by Charity Navigator, or nominated by a supporter, or self-selected on or before 10/31/22 at https://donatestock.com/suggest-pet-nonprofit
- A registered 501c3
- In good standing with the IRS.

Q: Once I opt in, what happens next?
A: Once you have opted in and qualify as a pet related 501c3, in good standing with the IRS, we will email an invitation to register and claim your free stock gifting page.

Q: How do I claim my free stock gifting page?
A: Start here and follow the steps https://donatestock.com/user/register/nonprofit
- Email verification
- Verify authority and sign terms of service
- Enter ACH information to receive Wag! Grant and future stock gifts
- Note: Donatestock charges a 3% transaction fee and sends 97% proceeds
Q: What else do I need to do to receive the Wag! grant?
A: There are two more steps you’ll need to complete in order to qualify for the grant.
- You will need to add a DonateStock “easy button” to one of your landing pages, enabling future stock gifts.
- Once you’ve registered and claimed your page, you’ll find the easy button hyperlink in your DonateStock dashboard. https://donatestock.com/nonprofit/edit/marketing
- Nonprofits typically add the easy button on their “Ways to Give” or “Donate” landing page.
- You will also need to implement a Wag! Community Partners logo to your site.
- Once you’ve registered, you will find the Wag! Partners Logo also in your DonateStock dashboard, linked here: https://donatestock.com/nonprofit/edit/marketing
- The Wag! Partners Logo is a hyperlink that offers a $10 discount code for Wag! Services
- This Wag! Partners Logo can live anywhere on your site (ex: Sponsor, Partner, or Home pages).
- In lieu of or in addition to adding the Wag! Partners Logo, you can post your own blog or press release announcing you are a proud Wag! Grant recipient.
Q: What happens after I complete all these steps?
A: Please fill out the Nonprofit Completion Checklist on or before 10/31/22 to ensure you’ve met the qualification criteria by the deadline and we will contact you within 10 business days: https://donatestock.com/wag-confirm
Q: Can you remind me of the key dates?
A: DonateStock reserves the right to extend deadlines as needed but here is the current timeline :
- September 30, 2022: Deadline for all nominations
- October 9, 2022: Nominated or Self Selected NPO’s must Opt-In
- October 31, 2022: Participating NPO’s must complete all the steps to qualify for a grant
Q: Can you recap everything I need to do to receive a Wag! grant?
A: You must complete the below steps on or before 10/31/22:
- You must be a pet-related nonprofit, registered 501c3, in good standing with the IRS

- The Wag! logo/ link (and/or post a blog or press release)
- You must review the Wag! program terms
- You must complete the checklist
Q: What is the Wag! Community Shares Grant Program?
A: Wag! Group Co has introduced the Wag Community Shares Program in which Wag! is allocating up to 150,000 shares of stock (NASDAQ: PET) to be sold and distributed as charitable grants to the first 500 eligible pet shelters, rescue, and adoption organizations to complete the qualification process.
Q: How much will each grant be worth?
A: The amount of each grant is to be determined by DonateStock based on:
- The value of gross proceeds from the sale of the 150,000 shares of Wag stock
- The number of Qualified NPOs who participate in the program (up to 500)
- The gross proceeds, less a 3% transaction fee, will be divided by the number of qualified NPOs to calculate the value of each grant.
Q: How and when are grants going to be paid out?
A: Payments will be sent on a semi-monthly basis via ACH using the information provided in the registration process by each qualified pet-organization. If the nonprofit qualifies before the 15thof the month, payment will be sent on the last day of the month. If the nonprofit qualifies before the 1stof each month, payments will be sent on the 15th.
